My male cockatiel stopped singing but otherwise is acting normal.

Mo my year old male tiel stopped singing 2 days ago. He is normally VERY vocal so this is very strang for him. I did notice that he was shivering a tiny bit but it only lasted for a few minutes. He is not puffed and his eyes are bright and clear. He is active and eating normally. Is he getting sick and this is just the first symptom? What should I be on the look out for? How can I get him back to his beautiful singing?

Cockatiel quit singing

Yes, this is the first sign of an illness. It may be minor, or it could be early in a serious situation. Put a heating pad on his cage and partially cover it with a towel to hold in the heat. Put the pad on high. Then get him to the veterinarian as soon as possible. Do not wait to see if he is going to get better, go now.
