my nanday is bleeding from his private area

what would cause my nanday to bleed from the private area he was taking a bath while i was watching him and when finished i noticed he was bleeding it was running down his tail from underneath side of him im really worried about this he had a lot of blood loss should i be concerned about this he is 19 years old
