My older parakeet is suddenly flying into walls

Hello. We have two parakeets. We let them out daily. Over the last week or so, the older bird has started flying into the walls, dropping down in a stunned state. This has never happened before. In the cage, he seems normal.

Why would this suddenly begin happening and is there something we should do?

Thanks for your help.

Jay

Your bird may break it's hollow bones doing this, please Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird and also trim the bird's wings so it can't fly into walls.

If you have a bird safe room, then it is fine that your birds fly around for exercise. But it sounds like your bird has a health issue that needs to be addressed. If you have anything toxic the birds can chew in the room, it could have been poisoned.
