my parakeet feet seem odd

ok for the past few days it seems to have gotten worse we ahve had this bird for nearly 8 years or so any where it looks like his right front toe is turning orangish or something around the nail and i cant get a good look at it he no longer fly's around his cage or whistles and he can barley walk and he sits on top of my firdge and goes outside to get air and sun everyday and i have no clue what so ever what is wrong with him and im actually frightened if u could do anything that would be great
