my parakeet is limping all of the sudden

Yesterday my parkeet was limping, it was only using its left foot to walk, and his right foot looks swollen. she or he is in a cage in my home, I've never put the cage outside so no other animal could have hurt it. I don't know what could have happened or what to do,

lately it seems like he is bitting his bad foot.
If you notice in the picture provided his good foot (the left) he has one toe that grips toward the back, but his bad foot (the right)all of his toes are toward the front and crippled looking.
Any help on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

Also I've mentioned left and right, but when looking directly at the photo his bad foot (in reality the right) is on the left side when looking at the pic.

Parakeet with lame foot
by: The Vet

Unilateral lameness is frequently caused by an abdominal tumor. However, a good exam would help make that determination.
