My parakeet quiet

Hi, I have a male parakeet who is blue/white, and he have started being quiet all of a sudden. He flies well. He lost his female (albino) mate last year. Can he be depressed? Or sick?

It is possible your bird is sick, and the only way to find out is to take your bird to an avian vet for a check up.

Getting quiet is one of the first signs of illness in birds.
