My parakeet's cere has some red on it.

I have noticed that my parakeet has some red stuff on his cere. A couple weeks ago, there was some red stuff on his beak(NOT his cere.) Anyways, I started to freak out and thought that he was bleeding or something! But then I realized that he has some seeds dyed red in his seed mix (Note: I will change him to a pellet mix soon!) and when one of the red seeds get wet, some of the red dye comes off.

Now he has some red stuff on his CERE. I don't think it's blood or anything, but I'm not sure. So my question is: is my parakeet sick? Is it dye, blood, or something else? Thanks for the info!

P.S. Sorry I couldn't show you a picture of this! It freaks my bird out!
