My Parakeet's poop

My parakeets poop red sometimes. They have been in my home for about a month or so. Sometimes they poop red. it reoccurs every month or so. Is it the food im feeding them? Or are they sick? There behaviors haven't changed, but I'm worried about them. Please help me.

Bird poop red

If you feed colored pellets or red food, then it could be the food coloring in the food. If you are feeding colored pellets, please switch your bird to a healthier pellet that is not full of chemicals and sugar.

Our avian vet suggests that you feed your bird Harrison's or Roudybush pellets for 70% of it's diet and only 30% healthy treats and seeds.

If you are not feeding your bird red items, then you need to Find an Avian Vet right away to examine your bird.
