Sudden changes in behavior indicate illness. Your bird needs to be examined by an Avian Vet in your driving area so they can do tests for both bacterial and viral infections.

Anytime you see an energetic, very vocal bird change into a quiet, less active one, these are the first signs of disease. Illness in birds starts out lightweight and without proper medical services gets progressively worse until death.

It is much better to catch infections at the beginning and avoid all the pain and suffering your bird has to go through later.

We recommend yearly visits to avian vet to make sure birds are healthy and not hiding an illness of some kind.
