My pet Bird Quaker is in a life threatning condition.

My parrot has a runny nose, with red runny eyes. I need help. He is eating and drinking normal. He pecks his skin off and feathers. He looks rather sick. I'm afraid that he'll be featherless very soon. His eyes are sinking into his face. Andhe has a patch on his body under his wings whih is already featherless. I am very worried! Will a vet be any good. or am i too late :( ?

My pet Bird Quaker is in a life threatning condition

As Tracie said, an Avian Vet may be of help to your bird. The other side of this is that if your bird dies, you will need to find out what killed it, and Avian Vet can do a necropsy to find cause of death. This is important if you plan on having or do have any other birds because if what your sick bird has is contageous, then any bird coming into your home can contract it. Necropsies need to be done almost immediately after death, so if your poor bird dies, get him to the Avian Vet as quickly as possible and keep refrigerated in case Avian Vet has to also refrigerate until they can get to it.
