my quaker parrot has been molting for a while now

In the fall my parrot started to molt and I was told he will do that when the seasons change so it wasn't anything I worried about. After about three weeks I started to wonder if this is normal?

I then moved his cage so there would not be any drafts there for him. I have also now noticed that his feathers aren't falling out like when he molts anymore but they look like he is molting. His appetite is good, he is active and he is talking and his waste isn't discolored or black.

I'm a little worried so I called my vet and have an appt. this week. This is my first Quaker and I have had him about 2 years and this is something new. If anyone has any suggestions it would help a lot.

Thank You,
Marti

Hi Marti.

Birds molt yr around. As long as it is not in excess and you do not find bald spots or snipped off feathers. Your faby should be fine.
