It depends on if the entire bed has been damaged. You have to get your bird to an Avian Vet ONLY right away because this can become severely infected which can kill your bird. Make sure there are no toys, gaps in toys or perches or anything else he can get a toe caught in. If nails are allowed to grow too long, your bird can die from an accident like this. Always take your bird to an Avian Vet for toenail clippings because pet stores do not know what they are doing for either wing clipping or toenail clips.

Right now, your bird needs medical services from a qualified, licensed and trained Avian Vet to make sure toe does not get infected or start to bleed both of which can cause your bird's death. Bleeding out is fast, and the infection is a slow, painful death.

Take care of your bird and if you can't take him to an Avian Vet then don't have birds in the first place. Sorry to sound so negative, but when your bird needs medical services it is the law of every state in the US that you have to provide medical services for your pets.

Let us know what Avian Vet has to say and for your bird's sake, I hope all is well.
