My sun conure is keeping one of his foot tucked up

I have had my sun conure for almost a year now. I just got my sun conures nails trimmed, which I have done before and when I came home today, he is not putting a lot of pressure on his one foot and it is very warm. Every time I touch his one foot he tucks it up. I have not changed his diet and I have taken him to this place before. Should I be concerned?

Bad nail clip on bird
by: The Avian Vet

Sometimes restraining their feet can pinch and his foot could be sore for a couple of days. Watch him for the next few days. If he does not improve on his own, then take him back in to see your avian veterinarian.

One or more nails on this foot were cut too short and are hurting him. Take your bird to an Avian Vet ONLY for any grooming. Dog and Cat groomers have been known to kill parrots, pet store people sometimes know what they are doing and mostly not.

Leave him be for now, and do not take him back to these people again because there is no reason to cut nails into quick if people know what they are doing. Longer nails have to be trimmed in increments over a period of time, not whacked off all at once as this causes much pain and can cripple birds at least until nails grow out where the nerve endings are not in contact with perches.
