My Sun Conure wants to be held all the time.

I have a 3 year old female Sun Conure named Izzy. She is very tame and sweet, but she wants me to hold her all day. She cries pitifully when I leave the room, and when I'm in the same room, she hangs on one spot in her cage, looking out at me, fluttering her wings and crying for me to pick her up. She will not allow my husband to pick her up without trying to bite him. Is it normal for her to want me to hold her all the time, or have I spoiled her? What can I do to help her be happy without being held all the time?
