nail trim

If they cut either the wings or the nails too short, then your bird is in pain. When wings are clipped, only the 4-6 long primary flight feathers at the bottoms of each wing are trimmed. If wings are trimmed up any higher this causes chronic pain for a long time. If nails are cut too short, this also causes pain which will get better quicker than the wing pain.

Always take your bird to an Avian Vet's office to have wings and nails trimmed. Never take a parrot to a dog groomer because they usually have no experience with birds and can do everything wrong and the bird suffers. If your bird continues to appear to be in pain, please take him to an Avian Vet as there could be an illness going on here that needs to be treated.

Thanks for writing,
Linda
