i bought an indian ring neck and it wasnt tamed at all. she use to hurt her self when someone got near her and was a crazy bird but now its tamed and wont bite or fly away when u go near it but since i got the bird ive only heard it talk once and that time was when i tried to grab it with a towel when it used to bite and it screamed and after that i haven't heard it say anything or whistle it only uses its mouth to eat and taste things. whats wrong with it ?

All new birds have to be taken to an Avian Vet for an exam for infections during the first few days. Moving is stressful, and if bird was found in a pet store, infections are contageous, so all it takes is one other bird there who has an infection to pass it onto all the other birds. Have a throat swab done as this is a more accurate test for bacterial infections.

Sometimes birds take a long time to talk, but they do make noises of all kinds. The fact that yours is very quiet points to an infection which will not go away until it is diagnosed and treated by an Avian Vet only. Do no taming or training until your bird has been examined by an avian vet because sick birds can die from the stress of taming/training.

Birds do not get over infections, and they become sicker everyday and eventually die if not properly diagnosed and treated.
