Noisy birds
by: Pat

I cover my two male cockatiels when they get too screetchy - this helps for a time. Also, sometimes I move them to another room. They do seek a lot of attention, but it's just part of the package when you acquire birds. Sometimes they are lonely, and just want attention, so do try to spend some quality time with them. Change toys too, they like to shred.

Stop parrot noise
by: Tracie

We have some bird training articles on our Parrot Training page that will help you with this. You need to understand that your bird will always make noise, but you can help it to learn to not be loud all day.

If this is a new problem, then you need to Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird to make sure it is not trying to tell you it is ill.

Most birds scream a lot to get attention. You need to provide plenty of toys for the bird to chew and destroy and have schedule where you usually spend time with your bird.

Birds are flock creatures, they MUST have flock time for their mental health. You volunteered to be it's flock when you took the bird.
