One of my parrots died

I had 2 budgers,and tonight one of them died, how will the other one react ? they weren't together when he died so I don't thing the other one knows, should I show him his friend or not?

Oh, I am sorry for your loss. When one of our birds died, we did make sure the other bird saw that it died, but I don't know if that is what everyone should do or not.

It is possible your bird had a disease, and the one left may have the same problem. I suggest you Find an Avian Vet to examine the bird you still have to make sure it is healthy.

Just in case you don't know about pellets, often birds die from fatty liver disease because they eat too much seed or human food. Our avian vet suggests that you feed budgies 60 - 70% pellets like Harrison's or Roudybush and only the balance in seeds and treats.

Human food has all kinds of chemicals, salt and toxins that are dangerous for birds, just in case you didn't know that too. You may know all of this, but I thought it worth mentioning.
