one of sun conure started eating alot

i have a pair of sun conure (untamed) their sex is unknown to me. but one of my conure has started to eat a lot. as soon as he notices food in my hand, he rushes near the door to eat.
i dont know why he has started reacting like this from past 4-5 days, he also taking a bit more rest then other one. he is also coming at bottom of cage and trying to reach to the material fallen in the tray.

there is a paint coated metal wire frame above the tray at bottom and thats reason he cannot reach bottom material. apart from this he is normal as routine.

is it normal, or i have to reduce the food (if i do so, then other one will also have to suffer because of him.) i provide to them or do i need to go to veteran.

i do not find well knowledge people for sun conures her in india. please do help me now and in future too. i will be thankful.

thanks to "Linda & The Avian Vet" suggestions from you both were very helpful and knowledge enlightening. as we you have responded much later of my post, so i decided to observe them and if something signs me serious then i will rush them to vet. but thanks to allah my birds are good now, i feel because none is coming at cage bottom. both are moving inside the cage eating well, yes but one is still eating & sleeping more sometimes. but i have seen them trying to do mating or maybe they are mating. i cannot say they are mating for sure, because i am not sure about thier sex as they are not DNA tested, but my vet says they are couple as he has checked their abdomen bones of one has near and other has gap, as identification of male/female in most of conures he says also both are adult i think as they have completed their feather coloring before i purchased.

anyway, i am thankful to you people for your help.
love you guys for helping me. :)

Conure eating abnormally

These are not normal behaviors. He may not be getting enough to eat because the other bird is not allowing him to eat or he may be getting to the food first to not let the other one eat. Observation is the only way to answer these questions. However, you need to have them examined by an avian veterinarian to be sure they are OK.

Zubair, you need to take your bird to an Avian Vet, and there is a link on this site for help in finding one in your area. The bird that is trying to eat so much is most likely sick as this is not normal behavior, especially going to the bottom of cage looking for more food. This indicates he may not be able to digest his food and is starving to death which is a very serious problem.

Also, you will need to take the other bird to the Avian Vet at the same time because infections are highly contageous and when one has infection, the other does too. Below is the link for help in finding an Avian Vet, and I saw there is only one in India, so I hope you can get to them. Be prepared to drive a ways if that is what it takes because birds need to have an Avian Vet just like human children need their doctors. You can also call the one listed in India to see if there is another closer to your home.

Find an Avian Vet

You have to take them to an Avian(bird) Vet and not regular dog and cat vet as they do not know what they are doing with birds and can and do kill them by making incorrect diagnosis and giving wrong medicines.
