our kikes chest feathers are coming out

we have a kike had him 2 years..just noticed yesterday some of his chest feathers are coming out, today there are large clumps of chest feathers gone leaving a lot of big bald spots.no other bird in the cage with him.

Chest feathers coming out

Your bird is likely taking these feathers out. Dr B says that most cases of birds suddenly doing this is from a health issue, but sometimes it is a behavioral issue.

Please take your bird to an avian vet for an exam and also read the article on feather damaging behavior below.
