Bird panting and breathing shallow
by: Tracie

I don't know and Dr B can not tell without more information and examining your bird.

Please take your bird to an avian vet for an examination. Try to recall all the events that happen before your bird does this, if any.

Make a list of ALL the foods and/or drinks your bird has. This could be a seizure from an allergic reaction to something it ate or breathed. It could be other things too.

Oh yes, also take note of anything at all that could be in the air. If you have a Teflon coated iron or ironing board, you could be poisoning your bird every time you iron. If your toaster oven is Teflon, and you broil something, that could poison your bird. Air fresheners and household cleansers can kill birds too.

Thanks for writing, I hope your vet will get to the bottom of this.
