Budgie laying on eggs that don't hatch

I don't know, but many birds lay eggs that don't hatch and they seem to go on with life and don't sit there depressed or something.

My bird, that did not have a mate, laid eggs all the time. We did not provide a nest, because we did not want to encourage her to lay eggs, so she didn't even try to sit on them for more than a day.

Some birds sit on their eggs for a month before losing interest, but then still move on with life and don't seem worse off for it.

It is sweet that you are concerned. :-)
