Parakeet health issue

Recently, my mom noticed that one of our parakeets has a huge clump of poop stuck to his rear end. It is slightly greenish and black. My mom think it's another internal exposure and that there may not be any help for him considering that the vet said that one of our other parakeets had to be put down. Somehow I just think it's a minor situation, and can be cured. What do you all think it is? Plus he doesn't move around very often in his cage ever since he was diagnosed with the issue.

Parakeet with poop stuck to vent
by: Tracie

You did not say exactly what this bird has been diagnosed with, in order for Dr B to tell you if it can be treated. If this particular bird has not been diagnosed, then it needs to be seen by an avian vet.

Another concern is your other birds. If you have a bird with a disease or contagious illness, then it will spread to the rest of the flock.

Please Find an Avian Vet to examine the sick bird soon, so if it is ill you can have your entire flock treated.
