Parakeet Is'nt Chirping

My new parakeet will open his mouth but nothing will come out. He hasnt tweeted yet. He flew into a wall very hard and landed on his back. I am worried this has caused him not to tweet. Any advice will help.

Yes, get him to Avian Vet and never allow any bird free flight in home as homes are very dangerous places for birds.

Always have Avian Vet clip the 6 long primary feathers at the bottom ends of the wings. There is NO need to clip up any higher and clipping higher will cause chronic pain and dangerous falls.

Let us know what Avian Vet has to say as it does not sound good for your bird.

Bird flew into wall

Birds have hollow bones that break easily. Your bird should be seen in person by an avian vet right away, if it is still not acting normal. Dr B can't help, because he can't examine your bird.
