parakeete biting feet

Your bird needs to go to an Avian (bird) Vet as soon as is possible. He could have parasites or some other skin infection that is causing him to itch and/or burn. He is hurting and uncomfortable, so do not delay getting him to the Avian Vet.

You can find Avian vet by looking in the yellow pages, and there is also a link on this site for help in finding one. DO NOT TAKE BIRD TO REGULAR DOG AND CAT VET AS THEY ARE NOT LICENSED OR TRAINED TO TREAT BIRDS AND SOMETIMES CAN KILL THEM. Take your bird to an Avian vet ONLY. Do not use any over the counter remedies or home remedies and do not get anything from a pet store. Birds have to be seen IN PERSON for a diagnosis and treatment plan.
