Bird with 3 nare holes

This is no normal and you should have your bird examined by an avian veterinarian.

No, this is not alright. One of the holes could be an injury from sticking a wire or other sharp piece in his nose. You need to take him to be examined by an Avian Vet in your driving area. There is a possibility your bird has an infection from the injury, and will not get well until an Avian Vet has looked at him and prescribed the proper medications.

Please have him examined right away and give NO over the counter meds even from a pet store because until you know what is going on, you cannot treat it. Always get Avian Vet to give you correct medicines for whatever they find wrong with your bird.

Thanks for writing, and let us know what the Avian Vet has to say about this,

Linda
