parrot biting finger

I have a young parrot, when I let him out to fly around the room he then lands on my finger but starts biting me why?

Since you did not say how long you've had your bird, I can only guess that when he lands, he's trying to make sure he stays on your finger.

It would be good to start using a perch stick and teach him to land on it. This will take a while or it could happen quickly depending on how long you've had your bird and if he trusts you.

Make a fun game out of it, and don't tire the bird out with it. Training sessions of about 10-15 minutes are enough at a time.
