If you are going to be there all the time, there are windows so bird can see out, and there are no drafts or mildew or mold, then it would be okay. If you are going to be gone a lot, then this is cruel. Birds are very social creatures and adopt their human family as their flock. If you are going to be gone to school or work, this will not work for the bird at all.

Just because you want a bird, does not mean you can offer the right kind of home, so think of the bird and not yourself here. You could have a nice aquarium with some very beautiful fish which is still a lot of work, and they keep each other company.

I'm attaching a link to an article about beginning bird caretakers:

Birds are exotic wild animals, and are not suitable pets for everyone. Whatever you do, please make sure you are thinking of the pet's eeeds and not your own, and you'll make the right decision.

I would think it would be fine as long as there isn't
Any dampness or mold down there. I would take
Him outside for car rides and to get some sunshine
As often as possible though. Lots of love and extra
Attention since he wouldn't have the outside to
Look at to keep him busy.

I think it would be fine as long as there isn't any dampneds or mold down there.... And as long as you give him some extra interaction and extra time outside or for car rides. Take him out to see the sunshine often.
