Pekin duck 9 days old eyelid torn off

I have a baby pekin duck, our chicken grabbed him today and tore his outer eyelid off! He seems to be okay, he is eating and drinking and swimming just fine. Will he be okay with that eyelid gone?

Bird with eyelid torn off

You need to have this bird looked at by an avian veterinarian immediately. If the damage is severe he could lose his eye. If the third eyelid is intact, he will likely be OK. But have him looked at immediately. Find an Avian Vet

Would YOU be okay if your eyelid was torn off? Your bird's eye will become badly infected if you don't take it to an Avian Vet right away. He will need to be examined and treated by ONLY an Avian Vet as dog and cat vets are not licensed or trained in the care of birds.

Your little duck probably in in horrible pain, so please find an Avian Vet and have this taken care of now.
