Pionus with a nut allergy?

Hi, We have just taken a Pionus into our home after the owner was unable to take care of him. We gave him some nuts last night, hazelnut, brazil nut, pecan, and raw sweet chestnut. Shortly after he starting wheezing quite badly.
We gave him the treatment that came with him for wheezing and he is fine this morning.

We are booking him in for a complete checkup with an avian vet.

I was wondering if there has ever been a nut allergy diagnosed in a parrot?
