Does your bird have a full spectrum light? If so this could be a ?sun burn?. If not, it could be caused by infection, exposure another heat source, and hypertension. Some birds will also blush when frightened or show other emotions.

He needs to be seen by an avian veterinarian. If it is the full spectrum light. Turn it off for 1-2 weeks until the problem goes away, then reintroduce the light but further away, at least 18-20 inches. Keep it on only 2-3 hours in the morning and 2-3 hours in the afternoon, and off in between.

Bird could be running a fever. Please get her to a qualified Avian Vet in your area as soon as you can. Birds do blush some, but their faces do not STAY red all the time. They blush when happy, and mad mostly, but again not all the time.

Please call and make an appointment for her to see a vet asap.
