Bird may be passing an egg
by: Tracie

Birds do not get "pregnant" like humans. Their body produces an egg and they lay it within 2 -3 days.

If your bird is sitting fluffed up and straining to pass an egg, it is called egg-bound and you need to Find an Avian Vet to help your bird right away.

If you wish to avoid your bird ever getting egg-bound, then you can feed your bird 80% Harrison's pellets and only 20% healthy treats and your bird will never become egg bound.
