Puffed up

by Parakeet lover

My female budgie parakeet, started acting diferent today. She has been puffed up for about 4 hours now. I know puffed up means sick, but could it be that she is going to lay some eggs. Should I wait to see if she gets back to normal, or should i take her to a vet. Thanks.

Take sick birds to avian vets
by: Tracie

I don't mean to sound harsh, but I put on the page where you typed the question that we do not accept questions when a bird is obviously sick.

Your bird may only have a few hours to live without vet care and no reputable vet would tell you to wait. Dr. B suggests you take your bird to an avian vet ASAP.
