Puffing up and closing eyes

My bird tends to puff up and close it's eyes in it's cage. I think he is just sleepy, because he only does it once in a while. He isn't sick, right? P.S. He is pretty young. He is a parrotlet.

Bird puffing up and closing eyes

Yes, this is normal. Thanks for asking! It would be good for you to take your bird to an avian vet every year for well checkups though. Also, having an avian vet phone number on your fridge is suggested, because birds tend to hide illness and then suddenly appear very sick.

Please Find an Avian Vet now, if you do not already have one.
