Quaker pulling tail feathers
by: Tracie

I am so sorry this did not get answered right away.

Yes, it does take time for birds to get used to their new homes. Sometimes they do things because they are sick too.

We have some articles on training, health and behavior issues on our Parrot Training page you might want to read. I suggest you take your bird to an avian vet also, if you have not already done that.

If you do not have an avian vet, you can look for one on our Find an Avian Vet page.

I TALK TO HIM ALL THE TIME HE TAKES FOOD FROM ME BUT HE WONT LET ME TOUCH HIM, DOES he just need time to adjust to his new home? How long does it take?
