Quaker biting

I have had my quaker for about 2 yrs now and she NEVER use to bite me. As of recently, she would nibble my hand when i would pick her up but that would be normal. It wouldnt hurt, it would just feel like little kisses or something.

Now these past few weeks she has been biting me really hard and she wouldnt let go of my flesh till i lightly grab her beak and get her away and put her in her cage. Sometimes ill leave her out but she will try to bite my other birds( i have cockatiels in seperate cages and she will go to their cage to try to bite them) until i get fed up with her aggressiveness and put her back in her cage.

She would never be aggressive toward me or ever try to bite me. In fact, i was the ONLY one she got along with and she would try to bite evry1 else. Now i dont know what has gotten in to her.

Pleaseee help what can i do to get her to stop biting me. I was thinking i should smear my hand with something so that id she goes to bite me it will taste bad and she will stop but i dont know what to use for that or if that will work. How long will this behavior last? Ughhh...

My Quaker did the same thing to me. I was the one she bonded with and suddenly she started biting really hard and tearing out my skin. She would be really aggressive when I went near the cage and it was a chore to feed her and clean the cage because I would get torn up. I never could figure out what the problem was. I thought maybe it was a sign of the bird becoming sexually mature. In your case the Quaker might be jealous of the other birds. I stood my ground and tried not to handle her so much and finally taught her that behavior was unacceptable. There are some good Parrot Training articles on this website you should take a look at.
