Quaker parrot has a depressing behavior

by Nicole

My Quaker parrot fell the other night, I'm not too sure how but it flew around for a couple seconds and seemed a little shaken up. The next morning we're seeing symptoms like extra fluffiness, eyes closed very frequently, "depressing" behaviour, and doesn't seem to want to do anything. We do not know the gender of the bird, and it is only about two years old. We have noticed some vomiting for the past 2-3 weeks but nothing more than that. Please help, I'm very worried.

Your bird is sick and was already sick which is probably why it fell. Not only is it sick, but now it may have broken one or more bones from the fall.

Please get your bird into see an Avian Vet in your area immediately or risk losing your bird. Anytime you see vomiting or other symptoms of illness, you must take bird to be diagnosed and treated by an Avian Vet immediately. To wait like this means your bird is very, very sick and just a few steps away from death.

Please run, don't walk to an Avian Vet and in future, get a sick bird to avian vet immediately.
