Quaker turns his head upside down so his beak points toward the roof

I own a loving Quaker parrot that I found in the wild. He's very sweet and loving and sometimes a bit of a clown. Recently he's begun to turn his head upside down. Is he just playing? He seems very happy and in good health except that he does not fly.
