How many times a year a bird should see a vet
by: The Vet

All birds need to go once a year. However, birds that are prone to papilloma lesions, i.e. South American species, including Quakers, need to go twice annually. This is to find papilloma lesions early to make treatment easier.

If after a couple or three years of twice annually visits and no lesions are found, then you can go to once annually with those birds. But if a lesion is found, that bird will need to be seen 2-3 times a year for the rest of its life.
