Hi there

Rainbow Lorikeets normally have runny poo as they normally eat nectar and don't have solids. Don't feed it seeds as it may die. You have to buy dry nectar mix and mix with water if the bird looks very young.

Hope this helps

Rainbow lory sick

This bird needs medical attention, more than just home nursing care. He needs to be seen by an avian veterinarian. Keep him warm until you can get him to the doctor.

I hate to be the one to tell you, but your birds have been exposed to whatever the injured bird has. The new bird needed to go immediately to an Avian Vet and still does. Its wing needs to be set and whatever infection it has must be diagnosed and treated. If you are keeping him in close proximity to your other birds, they may also be infected with whatever new bird has.

So, get this bird to an Avian Vet immediately for treatment for the broken wing and possibly broken legs as well. Do not delay because breaks if left too long have to be rebroken which will cause this poor bird way too much pain and stress.

Remember anytime you find a bird out like this, do not take it home until you have had it examined by an Avian Vet. Not a dog and cat vet as they are not licensed or trained in bird care and will surely either kill it or do nothing and charge you much money for it.

Let us know how this goes and keep a very close eye on your other birds because you have no idea what is wrong with this one besides the obvious broken bones.
