Bird screaming all the time

If you get another bird, you will likely have two loud birds and twice the mess. You don't know if they will like each other, so you will also have to have two cages to clean. You bird would probably appreciate the company, in another cage, so it would be great for the bird if you don't mind the extra work, time and money you will need to care for an extra bird.

I suggest you Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird to make sure it is not trying to communicate that it is bothered by something internally.

If your bird is healthy, then you will need to spend time with the bird teaching it an alternative way to get your attention. We have some training help on our Parrot Training page that will help you with teaching your bird an alternate behavior, but you will need to spend quite a bit of time with the bird to do this.
