Robin gives thanks

I don't have a question, just want to make a statement: I recently became a Nanday Conure owner and had no idea how to take care of him. This forum has continually given me lots of information and support. I constantly return here to read the blogs and learn something new every day.

Thanks to all of you out there for your comments, expressing your needs and sharing the love you have for your birds. Having this bird has opened up a new and wonderful world in my life.

Robin gives thanks
by: Linda

This is Linda, and we give thanks for you and ask God's Blessings in your life. Thanks so much for writing because sometimes, as Tracie so nicely put it, it feels as if we are working in a dark place. It is extremely uplifting to know we are helping in some small way to make lives better and of a higher quality.

Take care and we are always here for you and anyone else needing a bit of advice. And yes, we will recommend people taking sick birds to an Avian Vet because it is the right thing to do. We receive no monetary glory for our suggestions, and do receive a good feeling that maybe, just maybe, we have helped even one bird and their human reach a higher quality of caring and life.

Thanks for the thanks!
by: Tracie

Thanks for taking the time to thank us. I, Tracie, am the one who owns this site, but Linda, who I have never even met!, is VERY helpful and answers a LOT of questions.

There are a few others that chime in on a regular basis, and I am very grateful for that. I hope, as you learn some things, you will also answer questions and help people here. I do edit posts at times, if the answer is against what Dr B and other avian vets agree is safe.

I usually get hate mail because we tell people to take their birds to the vet, or suggest they feed pellets instead of cooked human food, seeds or worse.

It is nice to know our work blesses someone. Oh, and how can I forget Dr B! He not only has a busy practice, but teaches also. Yet he takes the time to answer questions when he has the time. It is a team effort. :-)
