Sick Bird
by: Linda

I agree with Tracie. Birds sometimes become ill after being moved from one home to another, if they were not ALREADY sick the day they are brought home. Changing homes lowers their resistance, and they can become ill. Please make an appointment with an Avian Vet in your area, so they can check for infections. They will then give him proper medication to clear this up.The infection will only get worse until he is seen by an Avian vet.

Let us know what vet had to say.

Bird with runny nose
by: Tracie

I am sorry your bird is having this problem. The only solution is to take your bird to an avian vet for an exam and diagnosis. Dr. B can not tell you what is wrong, because he can not examine your bird.

I hope your vet will be able to help your bird quickly. It may just be an allergy, but it is possible that your bird has a disease so please do not delay in taking your bird to the vet.
