Safe to clean cages when pregnant?

we have a cockatoo and im pregnant now normally he cleans the cage but today i have to... do am i ok to clean it.. i dont want to get infection from the poop or is that from like alot alot different birds and a lot of poope has a decient size cage but just wanted to make sure that cleaning it or possibly inhalling some of it wont hurt me

You are safe to clean his cage, if your bird is not sick or showing signs of illness. It is not a good idea to breath the dust, even if there are no infectious agents. The dust can contain mold spores and bacteria that could cause problems.
