same bird cage?

I agree 100% with Tracie on this one, and do not be in a hurry. Get two separate cages set up for them and take your time about putting them together. The two together will need a larger cage, so keep this in mind as well. Two or more birds in too small a cage made for one bird will fight over space, food, water and just because they hate being so close to each other. These fights can be deadly, so do not under estimate the danger involved in putting them together or in even having them play together. Always be there watching anytime they are out of cage together because they move quickly and can do serious damage in a very short time period.

Putting a Meyer's and Green Cheek in the same cage
by: Tracie

Only the birds can decide if they can share a cage. You will have to keep them in separate cages and let them play outside their cages in a neutral area. You need to be ready to quickly stop the birds from fighting if they run at each other. (Be ready to be bit, and do NOT squeeze the bird or you will break it's hollow bones.)

If a time comes that they enjoy being together and do not fight, then you can put them on the top of the cage you hope for them to share, and see if they will go inside the cage and get along. (Have two food dishes and two water bottles so they don't have to share those items right away.)

Even if they go in the cage, and do not fight, I feel you should do this a few times before you shut the door and leave the room. You need to study them for a long period of time, to make sure they are not going to fight over food or toys.
