my parrott just started acting very odd, sits in her food bowl and throws out the seeds, otherwise she is fine. Do you think she or he wants a nest?

My best guess here is that she may want some decent food. All seed diets are slow starvation for birds, and they need to be eating a high quality organic pellet like Harrison's found here. Bird should be eating 80-85% organic pellets with small amounts of recommended veggies given as only 10-15% of total diet.

So, don't worry about your bird nesting and get him started on a healthy diet or there is no use breeding as babies will be in poor health like their parents.

Here is a link on how to go about changing from seeds to pellets and make NO changes until your bird has been examined and either cleared or diagnosed and treated by an Avian Vet ONLY.
