Hey there,
I've been looking to find a quaker bird for sale... When i was about to purchase the bird from the person they told me that the bird was hurt and had a wound that needed to be healed... She also mentioned that she had a friend that was vet and was advised to clean the wound 2 times a day so it would not get infected...

My question is Do i take the chance and buy the quaker from this person or do i search for another seller and buy the bird another bird from someone else??? Please if you could just give me your advise i would really appreciate it...
Thanks so much,
Sandy :-)

Start with a healthy bird
by: The Vet

You need to start with a healthy bird. Quakers are known for untreatable self-mutilation and if you get this bird you will be taking on a huge responsibility, not to mention a large expense because you will be seeing the vet several times a year. There are lots of birds out there, you should find a healthy one.
