Scratched parakeet eye

My parakeet scratched his right eye. I took him to the vet, (so expensive) had it cleaned and now put medicated drops in his eye every 4 hours. How long will it take for him to heal completely?

Hopefully you took him to an Avian Vet because dog and cat vets are not licensed or trained in diagnosing and treating birds or other exotics. They sometimes kill birds for lack of the training to treat them.

You will need to call the Avian Vet about how long you need to use the drops. Follow a doctor's advice because we can't tell you what the Avian Vet wants you to do.
