Scratching and bleeding bird

My lovebird has recently starting scratching his side to the point it is bleeding. He keeps picking at it all the time. Someone told me to put flour on it to stop the bleeding but what can I use so it doesn't get infected and it would affect him?

Bird scratching until bleeding
by: Tracie

You need to Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird in person, both to find out why the bird is scratching and to give you a prescription for the wound.

There is not a way for Dr B or any vet prescribe an antibiotic over the Internet and they won't prescribe something to just to prevent an infection and not find out why your bird is scratching to the point of bleeding.
