They only see depth when they turn their heads. If they are looking straight forward, they see a flat surface. Example is pictures on walls. They see them in depth if they turn their heads and will try to land on them if flying. If they are looking straight forward, picture looks flat.
Their vision is highly tuned, and they see in color and much better than we do. This is why TV and computer screens are bad for them. They see color and pixels, and it is hard on their eyes, so limit this activity to just a little while each day and not too close up either. They need to be all the way across a room from a TV or computer screen.
